3 Ways to Rock Your Wand Curls This Summer
Not everyone is protective styling this summer. While feed-in cornrows, box braids, Senegalese twists, are on trend, some of us curly girls are still heat styling. My favorite heat-styled look is wand curls, achieved with a Remington Curl Wand. This style is achieved on hair that is blown out to about 85% straightness, with minimal product. Here are three ways I love to rock my wand curls!
1. Out and about with a deep side part.
Style Story: Section the hair in four. Grab 1/4" sections and wand curl the hair on a setting of 374 F. Pin curl each 1/4"section to preserve the curl until you have completed the entire head. This will ensure your curl sets and will last for 1-2 weeks!
2. Wand Curl High Puff.
Style Story: I found this gorgeous royal blue sun hat at Ross for $7.99! What a steal! Perfect for our Summer Hat Lookbook, and accentuating this Wand Curl High Puff. Using an elastic and haircombs, gather the hair into a high puff, then place the sun hat around the head, securing it at the nape. The curls fall perfectly over the hat, giving you this beautiful, beach ready look!
3. Half Up Half Down with a BANG!
Style Story: Grab the front section of the hair and separate it from the back section. Gather the front section into a ponytail, leaving out a face framing bang, and some tendrils around the ears. Make a bun with the hair in the ponytail and you're all set!
