The atmosphere was buzzing with excitment as our attendees went through their complimentary giftbags with full sized products from CURLS, Cantu, and Tropic Isle Living. We also had amazing giveaways from Boy Beads, Naturally Supreme, The Damn Salon, and Lamik! We also had two beautiful vendors from Tendrils and Curls and Got Garbach!
The highlight of the event was hearing from Tropic Isle Living co-founder, Lois Hines-Reid, who shared her professional journey, entrepeneurial advice, health and nutrition, beauty from the inside out, and the joys of marriage & motherhood.
We had some special guests who are some of the most well known bloggers, curly socialites and business owners in Texas. We were pleased to have been joined by Constance Cash founder of Team Natural (@teamnatural_), Mimi (@officialcorporatechic), Javon and LaRhonda (@Naturally Supreme) owners of Naturally Supreme, Monique (@itsmeitsmo), Founder and CEO of New Orleans Natural Hair Expo (@neworleansnaturalhairexpo), and Chalice Ebow (@misstopnaturalbeauty) winner of Miss Top Natural Beauty.
Our favorite segment of the evening is our entrepreneurial spotlight, highlighting the business ventures of our attendees. This allows the opportunity to engage with local resources and to establish lasting connections.

Houston was Amazing! On Sunday October 12, 2014 we had an amazing time with the naturalista's of Houston, Texas! We enjoyed amazing food, hairspiration and great conversation!
Our partner Casandra Rosario, founder of Food Before Love organized this amazing venue and we couldn't thank her enough for the amazing food in such a serene setting. Set in the beautiful River Oaks Event Studio in the heart of River Oaks Houston, we enjoyed Santa Fe stuffed peppers, a buttermilk pancake station (with toppings including fresh blue berries, strawberries and pecans), hash brown potatos,dirty rice, spinach quesadillas, mango chicken strips, and an unlimited mimosa bar, catered by Exspensive Taste Catering!
