Overlooking the crystal clear water of the Atlantic Ocean, we held our first hair & beauty brunch at the South Hampton Princess on the beautiful island of Bermuda on October 6, 2013.
Attendees were able to mix and mingle, getting to know other naturals from the island. Each attendee received a gift bag from our sponsors ORS, and You be Natural and Anu Essentials sponsored giveaways featuring full-sized products for hair and body. We opened the floor to discussions on the natural hair community in Bermuda, product awareness, climate and other challenges facing the naturals of Bermuda.
One of the most stand-out issues facing the Bermudian Naturalista, is the humidity, to which we suggested checking out the Ouidad Climate Control Line. We really encouraged the ladies to enrich the community on the island, as it is bursting with beauties of all textures, and lengths who are interested in hair information and hair events.
We learned of an up and coming natural hair store on the island which will definitely bring excitement to the community. It was great having girl talk in a beautiful setting with great food and drinks.
From this event, the group Bermuda Naturals was created! Congratulations Tene and we look forward to being a part of this movement. Special thanks to Lanisha (@curlydiva) and MonetFitzgerald (@curlsandmo). #naturalhairdoescare #bermudanaturals #naturalhair
